Global Capabilities
Highmount has special competence with the complex investment, tax, and estate planning issues that result from multinational exposure. In addition, the firm provides access to an international network of attorneys and accountants, including an on-staff attorney and legal strategist, to assist with clients’ international needs.
Investor Services Related to the Dodd-Frank Act
A new U.S. law mandates all investment advisors outside the United States that manage more than $25 million of assets belonging to U.S. residents to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Highmount is registered with the SEC, the Netherlands Authority of Financial Markets (AFM) as well as with the Swiss Association of Asset Managers (SAAM). This fact, coupled with Highmount’s international expertise, enables the firm to address the requirements of the new law and gives it the ability to manage investments of American residents abroad, may it be out of Amsterdam or Zurich.
Institutional Services Related to the Dodd-Frank Act
Highmount partners with foreign banks without SEC registration in serving American clients on their behalf with investment advice, through the Highmount Zurich Branch or Highmount Amsterdam.
